A group of peaks including Carlson Peak and Novocin Peak, which form the SW part of the Hauberg Mountains in Ellsworth Land. First sighted from the air by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (RARE), 1947-48. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from ground surveys and U.S. Navy (USN) air photos, 1961-67. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Lawrence D. Bean, electrician with the South Pole Station winter party in 1967.
