A point on the NW side of Cabinet Inlet, Foyn Coast, between Attlee Glacier and Bevin Glacier. Photographed from the air by Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (RARE) and surveyed from the ground by Falklands Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) in December 1947. Named in 1985 by UK Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC) after Sir Gerald G. Fitzmaurice (1901-82), Legal Advisor, Foreign Office, 1953-60 (Second Legal Advisor, 1945-53), who served Cabinet Ministers commemorated in this area; Chairman, UK Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC), 1952-60.
