An irregular-shaped island c. 1 mi long, lying between Mule Island and Mule Peninsula, Vestfold Hills, in the E part of Prydz Bay. Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936-37. Remapped by Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) (1957-58) and named after A.C. Hawker, radio supervisor at Davis Station in 1957.
