Description

A prominent snow-capped mountain on the S side of the middle reaches of Sjogren Glacier, Trinity Peninsula. Mapped from surveys by Falklands Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) (1960-61). Named by UK Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC) after Richard Hornsby and Sons of Grantham, who designed and constructed several highly successful chain-track vehicles for the British War Office, the first "caterpillar tractors," 1904-10.
