A rock outcrop lying 2 mi WSW of the summit of Mount Flanuten on the W side of the Humboldt Mountains, Queen Maud Land. Discovered and plotted from air photos by German Antarctic Expedition (GerAE), 1938-39. Mapped from air photos and surveys by Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (NorAE), 1956-60; remapped by Soviet Antarctic Expedition (SovAE), 1960-61, and named after Soviet pilot O.A. Kal'vets.
