Channel glacier about 3 mi wide and 6 mi long, flowing NNE from the continental ice and terminating in a small tongue about 4 mi W of Helene Island. Delineated from air photos taken by U.S. Navy (USN) OpHjp, 1946-47, and named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Andre-Frank Liotard, leader of the French Antarctic Expedition (FrAE), 1949-51, whose group completed the initial survey of the coastal features as far westward as this glacier.
