A broad glacier at the S side of Wisconsin Plateau, flowing W to merge with the lower part of Olentangy Glacier before entering Reedy Glacier just SW of Mount McNaughton. Mapped by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy (USN) air photos, 1960-64. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Lieutenant Robert J. McCarthy, USN, pilot on flights to the general area during Operation Highjump, 1946-47.
