A peak (c.1100 m) located 2 mi WNW of Brandwein Nunataks in the N-central part of Nebraska Peaks. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) after Douglas R. MacAyeal, Institute of Quaternary Studies, University of Maine, Orono, a member of the U.S. Antarctic Research Program (USARP) glaciological party during the Ross Ice Shelf Project, 1976-77 austral summer; later affiliated with the University of Chicago.
