Conspicuous, pillar-shaped island, 205 m high, lying 2 mi NNE of Williams Point, Livingston Island, in the South Shetland Islands. This island, presumably known to sealers in the area since about 1821, was charted and given this name by DI personnel on the Discovery II in 1935.
