A glacier flowing into the head of Henry Inlet on the N side of Thurston Island. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) after Lieutenant Commander Walter Sessums, helicopter pilot in the Eastern Group of U.S. Navy (USN) Operation Highjump, which obtained aerial photographs of Thurston Island and adjacent coastal areas, 1946-47.
