Description (see definition): A symmetrical peak rising to 2050 meters between Rim Glacier and Sprocket Glacier, Victoria Land. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) (2007) after Michele E. Raney, who as physician with the 1979 winter party at Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station was the first female to winter at an inland station.
