Description (see definition): Peak 2 mi SSW of Rahir Point, standing close S of Thomson Cove, Flandres Bay, on the W coast of Graham Land. Charted by the Belgian Antarctic Expedition (BelgAE) under Gerlache, 1897-99. Named by the UK Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC) in 1960 for Friedrich Gerber (1797-1872), Swiss veterinary surgeon who first suggested the use of photography for book illustration, in 1839.
