Description (see definition): A column of rock (65 m) in the South Pacific Ocean, lying 0.1 mi W of Scott Island and some 315 mi NNE of Cape Adare, Victoria Land. Discovered in December 1902 by Captain William R. Colbeck, Royal Navy Reserve (RNR),) commander of the Morning, relief ship to the British National Antarctic Expedition (BrNAE), 1901-04, under Scott. The name was used on official charts of the British National Antarctic Expedition (BrNAE) drawn by Lieutenant George F.A. Mulock.
