Description (see definition): A passage between Larrouy and Tadpole Islands to the W, and Llanquihue Islands and the W coast of Graham Land to the east. Photographed by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. in 1956-57, and mapped from these photos by the Falklands Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS). Named by the UK Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC) in 1959 for John Harrison (1693-1776), English horologist who first definitely solved the problem of determining longitude at sea.
