Headland at the N side of Whistling Bay on Arrowsmith Peninsula, marking the S end of a small coastal ridge which extends 3 mi northward along the W coast of Graham Land. First sighted by members of the French Antarctic Expedition (FrAE) under Charcot who roughly charted this area in 1909. The name is descriptive and was applied by the Falklands Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) who surveyed the headland in 1948.
