Description (see definition): Mountain, 1,880 m, forming the E end of the Eidshaugane Peaks in the Humboldt Mountains, Queen Maud Land. Discovered and plotted from air photos by German Antarctic Expedition (GerAE), 1938-39. Mapped from air photos and surveys by Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (NorAE), 1956-60; remapped by Soviet Antarctic Expedition (SovAE), 1960-61, and named Gora Luna-Devyat' (Luna Nine Mountain) in commemoration of the achievements of Soviet scientists in the study of space.
